The Perception of Causality in Light of Process Ontology

Human perception has an important emotional dimension. Besides having a “presentational” element that dominates the high cognitive activities of human beings, there are certain “densities of feelings,” which are inextricably intertwined with the presentational contents of our perceptual states. This does not mean that human perception is just instinctive, irrational, or intrinsically subjective. The Whiteheadian scheme allows us to determine the nature of the “emotional background” of perception without falling into the traps of subjectivism, representationalism, or substantialism. Learning to synthesise contradictions: an Austrian approach to bridging time concepts in the strategic theory of the firm

Moving from an inquiry on the notions of time underlying strategy studies, in this paper we lay the groundwork for the elaboration of a multitemporal view of the firm. We draw on the Austrian process view in economic studies and on Nonaka's idea of synthesising capabilities to formulate a methodological framework which consents the elaboration of a multitemporal view of the resource-based firm, in which different time concepts are bridged and main actor behaviours crucial for prolonged firm success are encompassed. Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Biznesa procesu reorganizācija komercbankās”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt, kā biznesa procesu reorganizācija tika ieviesta PSB bankā Krievijā, un novērtēt tās ietekmi uz banku un tās klientiem. Darba saturs ir sadalīts trīs daļās. Pirmajā daļā tiek sniegts teorētiskais atspoguļojums ar piedāvātajām biznesa procesu reorganizācijas definīcijām un teorijām (turpmāk - BPR). Darba otrajā daļā ir ietverta vispārīga informācija par PSB Banku Krievijā, un ieviestās BPR analīze.
